Lioli negotiating Moletsane’s return
MASERU-Lesotho’s football transfer window period closes on Tuesday next week, and some of the country’s Premiership clubs are now in a race against time to secure the signatures of new players.
Vodacom Premier League champions, LCS, are seeking to sign more players to reinforce their current squad ahead of their CAF Champions League tournament participation—and second round of the 2011/12 season. But so far, Masheshena have only managed to acquire one player—midfielder Lefa Khooa from Majantja—whom they registered when the transfer window opened on the 1st of this month.
On the other hand, Bantu have signed two players since the opening of the transfer window—Jankie Tsoeu and Tanki Mokhele from Lerotholi Polytechnic and Majantja, respectively.
Club spokesperson, Bokang Phasumane, told Public Eye on Tuesday this week the Mafeteng outfit were still looking to sign four more players before the January 31 deadline.
“We would like to sign Mojalefa Tsoeu and Tšeliso Sejake from Likhopo, as well as Thapelo Mokhehle and Tšoanelo Koetle from Matlama,” Phasumane said.
Likhopo and Matlama have also revealed their intention to each sign two players before next week’s player-movement deadline.
Meanwhile, Lioli—who transfer-listed some of their star players at the beginning of the transfer window, among them the seasoned Lekhotso ‘China’ Morapeli—are also out to strengthen their squad.
Head-coach, Katiso Mojakhomo, on Monday this week told Public Eye among Tse Nala’s targeted players is Bushy Moletsane—their former midfielder who is currently with Botswana’s Flamengo Santos.
“We need to sign a few players to strengthen our team, and one of them is Bushy Moletsane. We are currently negotiating with his club and hope to sign him before the transfer window period closes next week,” Mojakhomo said.
